Does the possible end to Social Security concern you?

Both Romney and McCain have indicated that we can not keep all our financial promises. If "not keeping our financial promises" means the end of Social Security will that effect you long-term political affiliation? If you are, as I am, a centrist Republican, would you abandon the Republican Party if they refused to "save" Social Security?
