How can I find my fathers half brother without a private detective?

Also my father will not give me any info on his half brother because of the big family secret .. anyway the brother came to our house when we were young and my dad sent him away I've always felt terrible for the man and really wish I could reach out to him , so how do I find this person his name was Pierre Vall�e lived in canada Qu�bec any ideas please help
