3000 point scoring (a MJ and Wilt question)?

Of course someone will do it eventually. Kobe almost did when he put up 2832 in 2006 in only 80 games. Best chance right now is Kevin Durant because he has the green light to jack up as many shots as he wants. Lebron could definitely do it if he didn't have to share the ball so much. Kevin Martin has no chance at a 3000 point season...ever.
